Bizarre Festival

The Bizarre Festival was considered the largest alternative festival in Germany. It started in 1987 and sadly the final curtain came in 2002.
The line-up was very wide-ranging in the context of alternative music with a mixture of top-class bands and promising newcomers from home and abroad.
I had the privilege to be the Festival Designer for the last 10 years, with a “who is who” of bands attending.
Coldplay,  Muse, Paige & Plant, Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, Linkin Park, LimpBizkit, Korn, Faith No More, Rammstein, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Garbage, Iggy Pop, Die Toten Hosen, The Cure, The Chemical Brothers and literally hundreds more…
It was much more relaxed without the huge extra tech packages and LED walls bands insist on now. When we started it was mainly down to Par cans, whilst in the end we already had something lke 48 moving lights…
